"Tipton Park is Back on Track: 
The Origins of Edmonton's Gyro Playgrounds"

My graduate student Paulina Retamales was the research speaker at the Queen Alexandra Community League annual general meeting on May 29.  This MA research project investigates the history and heritage of children's outdoor play with links to why it is still important for children, communities, and cities today.

The public, community partners, and the City of Edmonton are currently engaged in the renewal of Tipton Park.  We've participated in the community recreation and parks consultation process and look forward to more progress this summer beginning with a new 'labyrinth' spray deck.
