Congratulations -- New MA on Catharine Whyte's Museological Gaze

This month Katarina Welsch defended her thesis “Catharine R. Whyte et la preservation du patrimoine culturel des Rocheuses canadiennes: Une visionaire en avance sur son temps.”  

It investigates Catharine Whyte's influence on museums, collections, and cultural memory of the Canadian Rockies. Relations with First Nations are a focus in this research. Welsch conducted archival research at Banff's Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies.
